What are the differences between non-woven bags with film and no film?

Feb 09, 2023

Some buyers often ask whether the non-woven handbag screen printing or lamination technology is better? What is the difference between the two? Here, the editor of Wanshu Packaging will tell you about this question in detail;

As for which technology to choose, it still depends on your needs.

If your requirements are not high and you want to do common types, you can directly choose the screen printing screen, and the screen printing screen can also be overprinted with color printing, but it is not recommended too much, and more than 3 colors are enough;

If you have more tones for the layout design, we suggest you choose the type of lamination because the type of lamination is printed in color. It can be said that as long as you can design it, we can print it out in color for you.

Let me tell you the difference between non-woven handbags with film and no film

Screen printing screen (without film)

Screen printing screen refers to the use of screen mesh as the base, and the screen printing plate containing pictures and texts is made by light-sensing plate making. Screen printing screen consists of five elements, screen printing plate, squeegee, printing ink, color printing table and substrate. Color printing is carried out using the basic principle that the mesh of the graphic part of the screen printing plate can penetrate the printing ink, and the mesh of the non-graphic part cannot penetrate the printing ink. During color printing, pour the printing ink at one end of the screen printing plate, apply a certain pressure to the printing ink part on the screen printing plate with a scraper, and at the same time move towards the other end of the screen printing plate at a constant speed, the printing ink is scraped during the movement. The plate is extruded from the mesh in the graphic section onto the substrate.

Lamination technology

Lamination technology is a surface layer production process after color printing. It is also called post-printing plastic, post-print lamination or post-print lamination. It refers to using a laminating machine to cover a layer of 0.012-0.020mm on the surface of the printed product. Thick transparent plastic film to form a paper-plastic integrated product processing. Generally speaking, according to the technology used, it can be divided into two types: namely coating film and pre-coating film, and according to different film materials, it can be divided into two types: bright film and matt film.

  Summarize

Non-woven handbags generally use screen printing, which has always been a common printing process for many manufacturers. Generally, there are manual color printing and machine printing, which are limited to LOGO or text with simple color printing content.

If it is color photos such as landscapes and people, you must use lamination. The pattern is printed on the OPP film (spectroscopy film, sub-film) by the gravure printing machine, and then the film and the cloth are synthesized by the laminating machine. The film-coated bag has the characteristics of beautiful color printing pattern, waterproof and good load-bearing. But at the same time the cost is higher.
