What's the difference between woven bags and regular plastic bags?

Woven bags differ from ordinary plastic bags in several ways. Here's a closer look:

Material and Manufacturing Process Woven bag
Material: Usually polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) as the main raw material. These materials have excellent chemical stability and mechanical properties.
Production process: First, the plastic material is drawn into thin filaments to form flat filaments. The flat strands are then woven into fabric using a loom. Finally, cut and sew the fabric into bags. This production method gives the woven bag a unique mesh structure.

 

Commonly used plastic bags
Materials: Common polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), etc. Among them, low density polyethylene (LDPE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) are more commonly used.
Manufacturing process: plastic raw materials through blow molding, extrusion and other methods into film, then through the heat sealing, cutting and other steps molding.

 

Appearance and texture
Appearance: The surface has a distinct vertical and horizontal weaving patterns, in the shape of a grid. The exterior is rougher.
Texture: Hard to the touch, with a certain hardness. There is a noticeable heterogeneity in touch.

Regular plastic bag
Appearance: Smooth, smooth surface, no noticeable texture, usually bright and uniform color.
Texture: Soft texture, smooth to the touch, with a certain elasticity. Gently, it sizzles.

 

Performance Characteristics
Strength and durability
Weaving bag: woven bag is made of flat wire and has high tensile strength and tear strength. It can withstand large loads and is not easily damaged. It is suitable for heavy loads or frequent handling.
Ordinary plastic bags: relatively low strength, especially thin plastic bags. They tend to rupture when carrying heavy objects or get scratched by sharp objects and are less durable.

 

Air permeability
Weaving bag: The mesh structure of woven bag gives it well ventilation properties and conducive to the ventilation and drying of articles. Suitable for carrying items that require ventilation such as vegetables and fruits.
Ordinary plastic bags: poor ventilation, when placed indoors, easy to produce moisture, leading to moisture spoilage of items.

 

Waterproofing property
Woven bags: While woven bags are somewhat waterproof, they are relatively limited in waterproofing due to their breathability and the fact that moisture can still penetrate the mesh in humid conditions.
Ordinary plastic bag: has excellent waterproofing ability, can effectively prevent water infiltration, keep items dry. They are suitable for carrying humidity-sensitive items.

 

Environmentally friendly
Woven bags: Reusable multiple times, reducing plastic waste to some extent. In addition, some woven bags are made from degradable materials and have a relatively small impact on the environment.
Ordinary plastic bags: most ordinary plastic bags are difficult to degrade, will last in the natural environment for a long time, causing pollution to soil, water, etc., and pose a greater threat to the environment.
