Main Materials of Non-Woven Disposable Aprons

Polypropylene (PP) non-woven fabric: The most common material, made from polypropylene resin through melt spinning and hot-press molding. It features low cost, good water resistance, and light weight, making it the mainstream choice for disposable aprons.

Polyethylene (PE) coated non-woven fabric: A layer of PE film is laminated onto the surface of PP non-woven fabric to further enhance waterproof and oil-resistant properties. It is ideal for oil-heavy environments such as kitchen cooking and catering services.

Non-woven fabrics are lightweight (typically 10–50 grams per square meter) and breathable, preventing stuffiness even during prolonged wear. They are more comfortable than rubber or plastic aprons.

Disposable aprons made from PP non-woven fabrics have simple production processes and low mass-production costs. They are significantly cheaper than reusable cloth or rubber aprons, making them suitable for large-scale use.

Non-woven fabrics have sufficient tensile strength and tear resistance, withstanding minor pulling or friction in daily use without easy damage, thus meeting basic protective needs.

Some non-woven fabrics (e.g., PP materials) can be recycled or naturally degraded under specific conditions, aligning better with environmental trends than traditional plastic aprons (though proper disposal is still necessary to avoid pollution).
